Yahoo! Inc. has purchased the micro blogging site
Tumblr for $1 billion. The
deal finalized on Sunday May 19, 2013. Tumblr's founder David Carp has become America's next tech tycoon. Experts consider $1 billion a high price for Tumblr as Tumblr generated just 13$ million in 2012. Yahoo's new CEO Marissa Mayer believes that this deal will proved to be profitable for her company.
